Not all the paintings are completed in one session sometimes you get interrupted and other times you need to walk away for awhile or days.  It is normal for me to have half a dozen paintings in progress at all times.

A recent visit to the Great Smokey Mountains has inspired me to paint some landscapes.  Wild flowers and grasses were blooming in the lower elevations.  This is a view from Cade's Cove which is a beautiful valley where many of the first settlers built log cabins.

Well this is typical of me, just had to paint those olives again and show more of the wine glass and bottle.

Only olives with pimento made it into the painting, the blue cheese and garlic, they just disappeared.

During the winter purchasing beautiful tomatoes is very uplifting and seemed worth sharing before they became dinner, the olive was thrown in to capture the spot light.
