One half

This was the other half that wasn't sliced up and as it laid there the juices started flowing that was exciting.

Sliced cantaloupe

Jane it was your comment about liking cantaloupe that inspired me, thanks this was really fun.

I have always wished that painting would feel as comfortable to me as drawing with pencils, my preferred medium for 25 years.  As I near the completion of 100 daily paintings starting with this painting it felt like I was drawing with paint.

Tomato portrait

What can I say sometimes you just do things, it made me happy and it had a chain reaction bringing back a memory of my granddaughter helping me at the car wash, when I gave her the power wand not thinking about how hard it is to hold and point, three times it went out of control on her and it blasted me, I ended up completely soaked and doubled over laughing, the look on her face each time she shot me was priceless.

No kidding

That is a real tomato that grew a red nose, only the eyes were added by me, what a cutie.  Running off to a plein air paint out today this painting was very wet when photographed thus the glare in a few spots, will redo  asap.

More watermelon

The angles of the sliced watermelon and the rectangle bowed plate make up some interesting shapes and shadows, very entertaining.

Cucumber 2

Tomatoes compliment cucumbers in more ways than one and the lettuce in the corner fit right in.

Cucumber 1

In the kitchen to make a salad but wait, into the studio first.  Everything looked so fresh and colorful and those peppers with yellow, orange and red all in one package they really speak out.

Radish with watermelon

It has been over 90 degrees all week this is when fresh fruits and vegetables help beat the heat. In case someone noticed took for ever to get my auction set up today, internet connection was non-existent had to drive into town to get access and set up dailypaintworks auction, this technology is great when it works.
