Sliced cantaloupe

Sold
Jane it was your comment about liking cantaloupe that inspired me, thanks this was really fun.

I have always wished that painting would feel as comfortable to me as drawing with pencils, my preferred medium for 25 years.  As I near the completion of 100 daily paintings starting with this painting it felt like I was drawing with paint.

Tomato portrait

What can I say sometimes you just do things, it made me happy and it had a chain reaction bringing back a memory of my granddaughter helping me at the car wash, when I gave her the power wand not thinking about how hard it is to hold and point, three times it went out of control on her and it blasted me, I ended up completely soaked and doubled over laughing, the look on her face each time she shot me was priceless.

No kidding

That is a real tomato that grew a red nose, only the eyes were added by me, what a cutie.  Running off to a plein air paint out today this painting was very wet when photographed thus the glare in a few spots, will redo  asap.

Big leaf

Sold

Previously these strawberries were painted from a still life and while that was set up some additional photographs were taken.  These strawberries are tiny compared to some recent one's that we ate, you just can't use everything for art although I try.

Just happen to look at the DPW challenge and in my camper there was a tumbler that qualified as a subject. These little circles really are fun when ever they are noticed.

Rough day

Using quick brush strokes gave him a rougher appearance, however this draws more attention to his eye's.
