First Lily


Available

Spring time pure and white full of fragrance and sunshine.  This was painted last year and never posted not sure how it got missed.   Crocus ,Daffodil, Tulips and Lily, start the season for me. Hyacinth's use to have some they have disappeared...hmmm need to plant some.

The idea of this painting was to capture realism and fade into more of an impression.  One this one I left some hard edges the soft edges were faded with brush strokes.  Another method is to use pure color in the focal area then use varying degrees of grayed colors to fade away.

Daisy soft

This was very loosely applied paint then a few sharp details added to bring it some excitement.  It almost painted itself and when that happens you can be proud of yourself.
